The automated menu option one (1) is ‘Ambulance Victoria or Doctor’ this will connect you to our Community Care Admin staff member that will be able to direct your call to the appropriate ANUM or Community Care / HITH doctor.

Calls from GPs can be directed to nursing staff or doctors.

Community Care Coordinators work business hours and Community Care nurses and doctors work seven days 8am – 9pm.

Hospital in the Home

Hospital in the Home operates seven days a week with medical / nursing coverage 24 hours per day, with visits occurring between 8am – 8pm.

GP referrals not requiring ED assessment and workup are welcomed. 

First dose antibiotics/treatments will need to be administered at the HITH Office / Clinic and the patient will be given information where and when to attend for this.  Subsequent to this, visits may be undertaken in the home/RACF for suitable patients or continue as clinic visits where we work to support transport and attendance.
